MY STORY

For as long as I can remember, I have always loved the fine arts and had an interest in its effects on the mind.  I have been classically trained in piano for ten years, danced various styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, musical theater, and more), and participated in competitive theater, winning first place at the state level.  My mother is an English educator and always emphasized the importance of pronunciation, proper grammar, and presenting ideas to an audience.  My father is an engineer who taught me the importance of being patient when evaluating and fixing a problem.  Their love and guidance led me to the educational path that I am following now.  Through psychology research, I am now able to make hypotheses about the cognitive effects of fine arts.  Through my communication education, I am able to present and discuss findings with colleagues and outside audiences. I personally believe that art is at the heart of everything we do!

Now as I complete my senior year of college and embark on my journey through graduate school, I have developed an interest in public relations. I enjoy presenting new ideas, helping to foster creativity, and managing a team. I consider myself a strong listener and an organized leader. I hope to bring my skillset to the public relations industry and learn as much as I can from my associates.
